WINNER OF
Xcel Education
Student of the Year

Xcel Education Student of the Year award
Noor hopes to become an early years teacher, something not beyond any such student who achieves such high academic marks. Her determination has been developed by doing voluntary work with children back in her home country of Pakistan.
Noor described the moment when she found out she had won:
I received this good news while I was in Pakistan to be with family and villagers at the sudden passing away of my beloved uncle who had taken on my father's responsibilities only three years ago when my father passed away. No doubt this news brought some happiness and smiles in such a miserable time for us.”
For Noor, accepting this award has validated times where she and her family have struggled: “I accepted this most excellent trophy for Baba (my father) although unfortunately he is not with us today but has always been my strength and for my mum who has been my true hero in every way. If it were not for her encouragement and trust I would not be in university.”
“Winning this award means that my grandparents countless prayers of success for me have been heard and all the suffering in difficult times when my family needed me and I needed my family, have been rewarded.”
To operate between cultures takes great care, tolerance and maturity. Noor adds charm and integrity to these attributes.”
